CHP has confirmed that one person has died in a 4 vehicle accident on 101S at Spence Road on Monday night, October 1, 2018.
The accident happened on a dangerous stretch of road south of Salinas around 7:30pm. According to the CHP report, a Chevy Silverado crossed the freeway and drove the wrong way of Highway 101S hitting 3 other vehicles. Raymundo Navarro, a 68 year-old Gonzales man, driving a Nissan truck was the fatality. The driver of the Silverado, Luciano Rojas Medina was under suspicion of DUI when the accident occurred. He has been arrested.
